I am very happy to meet the members of REA Religion and Education in 2019 REA Annual meeting in Toronto. As you know, Professor Lucinda Huffaker reserved a room (1st floor) for REA Religion and Education at the Holiday Inn hotel restaurant. And President of the Korea Society of Christian Religious Education (KSCRE), Professor Changh Lim, will serve today’s “breakfast meeting” for REA Religion and Education work group and pay its cost. He is Principal of Jangdeahyun School for North Korean refugee students in South Korea. Today morning, I will guide you in front of that room at Holiday Inn hotel restaurant from 7:20 am for the breakfast meeting of REA Religion and Education Work Group.

In today’s “breakfast meeting” of REA Religion and Education Work Group, we will describe the brief information of Jangdaehyun School and 2020 R&D projects supported by the Korean Government. In the case of the year 2019, the Korean Government allotted approx. 10 billion US dollars in the area of R&D among the total annual budget. And usually the Korean government used to provide 0.1 percent among the total R&D budget in the area of art & humanity including religion. Therefore, the REA Religion and Education Work group members under the generous leadership of Professor Ryan Gardner applied the project of R&D projects of the Korean government. Usually its selection rate would be 13 or 17 percent.

The 2020 R&D project plan of the Korean government will be released in the late of December 2019. So, I asked for the publishing outcome lists of 2019 of nine REA Religion and Education members, who were registered in the research database of the Korean Government (the website: https://www.kri.go.kr/kri2), in order to upgrade their personal research products in the Korean Research Information. Unfortunately the Korean Research Information does not provide the English language service. I am uploading my colleagues’ research outcome in that database instead of my international great and wonderful colleagues of REA Religion and Education Work Group.

I will do my best for the success of our 2020 research project and the great and wonderful legacy of REA Religion and Education founded by Professor Matthew Geiger and Professor Ryan Gardner.

I always pray for your great well being and happiness in the Holy Spirit.

Thank you so much. Many blessings.

Yours sincerely in Christ,

Dr. Moon Son
