Rachel Pear

Rachel S. A. Pear is a research fellow at the University of Haifa's Center for Jewish and Democratic Education where she is the research coordinator of the first large scale study in Israel on evolution education and its relationship with religious views. Rachel received her BA from Columbia College, her MA in Prehistoric Archaeology from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and her PhD from Bar-Ilan University's Graduate Program in Science Technology and Society. Rachel publishes and lectures on topics related to Jewish perspectives on evolution and also works with her husband Rabbi Ian Pear in the congregation they co-founded in Jerusalem, Shir Hadash.
